Based on actual experience this week, the risk of confusion between these two different private channels (with the same Becky, but two differnet Jameses) is not just theoretical.

Thankfully, nothing actually sensitive was said into the wrong one, but it's still very helpful labelling.

I was especially befuddled by the fact that Slack added the last initial to Becky (which didn’t need it — because it’s the same Becky), but not to James (which did need it). But then I learned that Becky manually edited her first name in Slack to include her last initial, to avoid this type of confusion. What a twist ending!
